November 13, 2024 at 4:07 pmThis movie is wild Its huge, its loud and yeah its a total vibe. Ridley Scott really brought his A-game here, especially after Napoleon kinda flopped. The real sets they built in Malta and Morocco make it feel like you are actually there. Wonderfull CGI. I really felt i was there at the moment in the movie itself.
Paul Mescal is awesome as the lead, starting out rough and growing into a legend, which is a different vibe from Crowe’s Maximus. And Denzel Man, he owns every scene. The whole cast is fire Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen. everyone’s bringing their best.
The fights are raw, the story is deep, but it flies by. Even the music is cool, throwing in some hints of the classic Gladiator score without overdoing it. This one is a winner and definitely worth the wait. A sequel that totally lives up to the original. Hats off !
